Registration Help

  •   RegistrationError: XigniteXXXXX: Maximum number of unregistered requests exceeded. Consider registering or subscribing to expand usage. Your request was authenticated using your IP address...
    • Reason for Error: You are using a new IP that is not linked to your subscription.
If you encounter this error and recently switched to a new development platform or from a test to a production server, and are accessing your web services with the same username and password on a different machine/computer you might need to add an IP or range of IP’s. You can go to WhatisMyIP and then find out what the new IP is. You may then add that IP to your account by going to AddIPAddress and adding your username and the new IP. Another option is if you are logged in to your Xignite account, you can go to “My Account” and then click on Update IP Address(es) for Authentication. This will also take you to a screen where it will tell you your IP address and you can add it in as a new IP to your account. You can also query for your current IP on your operating systems in the shell or command window (Windows Operating System IP Discovery Tutorial http://compnetworking.about.com/cs/windowsnetworkin1/ht/findaddrwinxp.htm). Alternatively, you can email us at support@xignite.com and tell us which IPs or IP ranges you would like to add.
  •   RegistrationError: XigniteXXXXX: Maximum number of unregistered requests exceeded. Consider registering or subscribing to expand usage. Your request was authenticated using a SOAP Header. Your username is xxx@xxxx.com...
    • Reason for Error: You are passing the wrong username in the SOAP Header..
If you encounter this error then you are probably sending the wrong username and password in your SOAP Header. Your username is the email address that you used to register for the web service. If you have forgotten your username you can email us at support@xignite.com and tell us which IPs or IP ranges you would like to add.
  •   RegistrationError: XigniteXXXX: Maximum number of unregistered requests exceeded. Consider registering or subscribing to expand usage.
    • Reason for Error: You have exceeded the hit counts for free trial account.
If you encounter this error then you have exceeded the free trial account hits. At this point you should contact sales@xignite.com and include in the subject field: “Maximum number of hits exceeded” to either change your subscription status or extend your trial period for testing purposes. We may add temporary hits to ensure that your web service calls run uninterrupted.

At any given time, you can view your remaining free trial or subscription credits by logging into your account, clicking on “My Account” in the upper right corner of the screen, and then Check My Subscription Status under “My Web Services”. Here you will see you the number of credits you have left.
  •   Incorrect password and/or username.
    • Your email address is the one you used to sign up for your Xignite Account and your password is a phrase of your choosing. If you entered the incorrect username and password combination you will receive a “Your email/password combination is incorrect. Please try again." message. If you cannot remember your password, click the “Forgot your password?” link under the login menu. If you cannot remember your email address, please email support@xignite.com with your full name and company.
  •   Maximum number of logins exceeded.
    • If you enter the incorrect username and/or password 5 or more times, you will get a registration error ("Your account has been locked out because of a maximum number of incorrect login attempts. Please contact Xignite Support at support@xignite.com for assistance.") and may be temporarily logged out of your account for security reasons. In this case you may email support@xignite.com with “Maximum number of logins” in the subject so that we can reset your password.
