Spotlight New Redesigned Website Xignite's website has been redesigned to improve the user experience in registering for and subscribing to our web services. Here are some highlights of the changes in the new website: New Account Area: You can now log onto our website to check your current usage status, add new IP addresses to your account or register for new services. Before you can use your account, you will need to re-register. Make sure you register using the same email address used for your system account. Extended FAQ Sections: We have enhanced our FAQ sections to give you more informed answers to your more common questions. New Content: Check out the latest news and articles, archived copies of newsletters, as well as numerous others resources. Also make sure to visit our updated web service catalog for new additions to our suite. Online Purchases: New features were added to allow you to easily and conveniently check out your purchases of web services. For example, the shopping cart feature was added so that you will only need to check out once for multiple purchases. Prices for different Support levels are displayed online and, if selected, will be added to the total purchase amount. Because Applied is a publicly traded company, its executives need an effective way to review operational and financial performance with stockholders and investment analysts throughout the year. It is critical that the presentations Applied executives use for these meetings be accurate and up-to-date. Xignite solved that problem by helping Applied streamline the process of updating financial data in its Investor Relations presentation. The Applied team developed a custom presentation using Macromedia® Authorware® that generates content from multiple sources, including four sets of information pulled from Xignite Web Services: Statistics – updated economic indicators for the manufacturing sector such as Purchasing Manager Index (PMI) and Manufacturing Capacity Utilization (MCU); Market Focus Report – comparison of stock price performances between AIT and its major competitors; Historical Quotes – comparison of financial performance between AIT stock price and major indices; Fundamentals – other relevant financial data such as AIT dividend and EPS growth rates. To ease the development of that presentation, Xignite provided Applied with a custom “wrapper” web service that presents data in a way readily usable by the program. The overall solution reduces the tedious manual work needed to update the financial information for those very important presentations. The wrapper also reduces the amount and complexity of programming required to retrieve the relevant data. Xignite’s solution makes Applied’s Investor Presentation process more streamlined and efficient, and Applied executives now have the ability to retrieve information on-demand.
